The Role of a Young Life or WyldLife Leader
Leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives -- from supporting them at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what's important to them. Our leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future. Our leaders are committed to helping show kids...
...REAL FUN--Young Life founder Jim Rayburn said over 60 years ago that "It's a sin to bore a kid with the gospel," and that credo has permeated everything we do in Young Life and WyldLife since. We're committed to creating FUN for kids--the kind of good, clean, wholesome fun that many do not experience in their culture.
...REAL FRIENDS--Young Life and WyldLife leaders are committed not just to chaperoning events or showing up every once in a while; they're committed to being caring, concerned adult friends who can be trusted and counted on.
...REAL LIFE--Young Life and WyldLife leaders are committed to fleshing out Christ's statement in John 10:10, "...I have come that they might have life, and life more abundantly." We offer kids not just fun and friendship, but the real life that comes from a relationship with their creator.
